Soldiers in Afghanistan
In this portfolio are pictures from a trip to Helmand Province Afghanistan in July/August 2007 where i was embedded with the British Army. Myself, working as a freelance for The Sun newspaper and Tom Newton Dunn who was The Sun's Defense Editor at the time spent about ten days in the field with different units of the army.
During our time there, a soldier was killed in a battle with the Taliban. Some of the pictures here reflect the mood of the soldiers in the pictures i took shortly after that battle in which he died.
